Active members are in much need at Gardiner Street so please consider giving time to making the parish rock!
Becoming involved is a great way to meet new people, discover your gifts as well as help develop those of others. Being active in your parish brings you to life: everybody says it. Why not consider it?
All you need is a willing heart, and give your time, talent, and service.
If you would like to join our volunteer team please contact Fr. Gerry Clarke or Ms. Sonia Obregon through 01 8363411 or email gardinerstreetparish@outlook.com

Theme: Justice and only justice you shall pursue (Deuteronomy 16:18-20). Just a note to remind you that every year in January we begin a week of prayer for Christian unity. The parish team welcomes all initiatives to foster unity with our fellow Christians especially in the locality. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with ideas or proposals.

The death of someone close touches us to the core and leaves us hurt and wounded. A Bethany group offers a listening ear and help on the road of bereavement. Individual support can also part of it.
The Bethany Support group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. Next meeting will take place on 23rd January.

Last week’s Collections, Church €666, Share €410 Thank you. The Blue Bag is for the Church Collection (St Francis Xavier’s Gardiner Street), the red bag is for Share.

THE NOVENA OF GRACE will begin as always on 4th March and continue until the 12th March. Our preacher this year will be Fr. Kevin O’Rourke SJ. We look forward to his message. And in the evenings during the Novena we are opening up a new space for the young with a Faith Fest called “Hearts on Fire”.

WORLD DAY OF THE SICK 2019 will take place on 9 February 2019 in All Hallows, Drumcondra  (9:30am to 1.00pm) on the topic Community struggle with addiction – A Pastoral response. Mass for World Day of the Sick will be held on 10 February 2019 in Corpus Christi 3.00pm. More details closer to the time please save the dates!

Use LEDs and lumen lights
Light is important in the wintertime. The days are shorter and many people’s moods are affected by the lack of sunlight they absorb in the winter months. Don’t deprive yourself of the light your body craves, but get it through efficient sources like LED light bulbs and lumen lights.
