Reading this Advent

As an encouragement to embrace the Spirit of Advent, This weekend we will have a number of Advent books with daily reflections and prayers for sale at the back of the Church.

The ‘Giving Tree’

The ‘Giving Tree’ is an appeal for Toys/Gifts for Children who are less fortunate. This year Our Parish will link up with the Saint Vincent de Paul. Last year, thousands of families in communities across Ireland celebrated Christmas with the help of St Vincent de Paul. Unfortunately, this year even more people need your support. Please take part in the Giving Tree and donate gifts to make Christmas that little bit brighter for children and families who are struggling in our community.  It’s an opportunity for children themselves to give!

WINTER CLOTHING APPEAL

The winter clothing appeal has been a great success, David Moriarty, Assistant Director of the Jesuit Refugee Service was delighted with the response and has sent his thanks to all who donated. Over 4 trolley loads (and more arriving) were handed over to JRS and will be distributed to refugees in Direct Provision over the next few weeks.

Parish Office has a large selection of Christmas Cards, Calendars, and Seasonal Gifts. The Office also has a varied range of Jesuit Publications, magazines and books on Ignatian Spirituality which would make an ideal present for Christmas.
