WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS WILL BE OBSERVED ON SUNDAY, MAY 12, 2019, also known as “Good Shepherd Sunday.”  The purpose of this day is to publicly fulfil the Lord’s instruction to, “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest” (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2).  Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life and all the various forms of direct service in the church and parish.

NATIONAL COME AND SEE (Maynooth) The National Vocation Office is running a vocations exploration (Come & See) weekend for men who are discerning whether they are being called by the Lord to Diocesan Priesthood.  This will be held on the weekend following Vocations Sunday (Sat 18th and the morning of Sunday 19th May).  This will be held in our National Seminary (St. Patrick’s College Maynooth) and accommodation will be in the seminary.  This provides those considering a vocation to meet with seminarians and to join them in the various liturgies, Eucharist, Divine Office and Adoration etc.
