Come to Meditative Prayer following the practice of “Divine Reading” known as Lectio Divina. The first stage is “lectio” (reading) where we read the Word of God, slowly and reflectively so that it sinks into us.
This is a wonderful opportunity to bring the Word of God alive within us. Thursdays 7.30 pm at Gardiner Street Church.
BIBLE READING GROUP
Sundays at 6 pm in St. Francis Xavier’s Church. No need for any expertise, just yourself and your Bible (If you haven’t got one, don’t worry, we have spares)
ABOUT SYNOD IN GARDINER STREET PARISH
Pope Francis is inviting all Catholics, the baptised and anyone of good faith all across the world to take part in a time of prayerful reflection, listening and sharing, so that we can better hear the voice of God’s Spirit, to help direct the Church into the future. This listening phase is part of a journey that will lead to a meeting of Church Leaders for a Synod in Rome.
You are warmly invited to two Synodal gatherings (15th and 22nd March at 7 pm) in St. Francis Xavier’s Church. These gatherings will be an opportunity to share and listen to each other’s experience of Church, in an organised, gentle and prayerful environment. This invitation is for everyone, those who come to church and those who do not, and the feedback from the gatherings will be collected and passed onto Church leaders in time for the 2023 Synod.
Last week Collection: Church € 573
ACCORD Special Collection €516
All contributions are gratefully accepted, and the donors are remembered in our prayers.
