ADVENT TUESDAYS EVENINGS
Each of the Sundays of Advent offers a theme to explore in preparation for Christmas:
- Being aware,
- Turning to God,
- Who is the one we are awaiting?
- Christ among us.
Each Tuesday we offer a quiet space enriched by music and meditation to prepare and to mull over the meaning of Emmanuel.
Afterwards, there will be refreshments in the coffee room.
IN NOVEMBER WE REMEMBER
Envelopes for the Altar List of the Dead are available at the back of the Church or in the Parish Office. Envelopes can be left into the Sacristy or the Parish Office and will be placed in a Basket beside the Altar and will be prayed for During the Month of November
Parishioners are invited to light a candle any time through November and place it in the Cross. Memorial Candles are available in the Parish Office for €1 and may also be taken home or given to a friend who might be grieving.
Remembrance Board ~ At the back of the Church we have a board with the names of all the people whose funerals took place in Gardiner Street this year. Parishioners are invited to write down the names of anyone they would like to be remembered.

ADVENT IN MANRESA
HOP-ON/HOP-OFF RETREAT
The busy time before Christmas doesn’t easily allow for long stretches of quiet or a few days retreat. You are welcome to Manresa for whatever time is available to you in the last week before Christmas. There are many opportunities through the week for some quiet or for guided reflection and prayer – including daily mass, confession and conversation times.
Your Advent timetable may allow some time of recollection — a few hours, perhaps, or a night or two. If you would like a quiet mid-day, evening meal or overnight stay, please make a booking — otherwise you are welcome just to come along.
Each day comprises several elements – you can attend all or whichever appeal to you.
