Book Cover Etty Hillesum: A Life Transformed by Patrick WoodhouseGARDINER STREET READING CLUB will resume in September. This time we will be reading and reflecting on “Etty Hillesum: A Life Transformed” by Patrick Woodhouse (2013).
Meetings will take place on Tuesday 10th, 17th and 24th September at 19:30

THE CROSSCARE ANNUAL COLLECTION for Community, Homeless and Youth services will take place in churches throughout the Dublin Diocese on the weekend of Sat 31st August and Sun 1st September 2019.  Last year Crosscare saw almost 1,000 people accommodated in their homeless services and at the same time they helped 78 families and over 100 individuals move into their own homes.  Through their food banks and meal services, over 175,000 meals were distributed to those in need and 14,000 parcels of food were delivered to families. Over 4,000 young people were supported through Crosscare’s Youth Work service through voluntary youth clubs and summer projects. 400 teenagers and their families found the help and support they needed in Teen Counselling.  Donors can also contribute online at www.crosscare.ie

THE GOSPEL CHOIR MASS will resume this Sunday September 8th
at 7.30pm after the Summer break.
Meditative prayer before Gospel Mass will also resume at 6:00 pm
ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR FUTURE. SAGE ADVOCAY ADVICE DAY will take place on Saturday 28th September in Gardiner Street Parish. It starts with an information session at 10am followed by an opportunity to follow up with a SAGE Advocate aiming to finish at 12.30. All welcome.
SAGE ADVOCACY promotes, protects and defends the rights and dignity of vulnerable adults, older people and healthcare patients.
THE 2019 NATIONAL PLOUGHING CHAMPIONSHIPS will take place in Ballintrane, Fenagh, County Carlow from 17 to 19 September. The Messenger, Sacred Space and Jesuits in Ireland will be represented at the event, located this year at: The Hub – Dolman, Row 29, Block 3, Stand 646. There will be an opportunity for a blessing with the cross of Blessed John Sullivan 
STEPS2SERENITY: 12 STEP MEDITATION AND PRAYER EVENINGSThe Jesuit Centre of Spirituality offers an opportunity to people on twelve-step programmes to deepen their awareness of themselves as they seek to improve their conscious contact with God “as they understand him.” No need to book. Just come along yourself, or a friend or anybody who you think may benefit from an evening of prayer and meditation in a safe and peaceful environment. All are very welcome.
