Music & Liturgy

At St Francis Xaviers’s we are blessed with the contributions from our staff and volunteers who help to make each Mass special. We present different styles of liturgy and music at each of the Sunday Masses to suit different preferences.

Vigil Mass – with music and song from either Cathy Keane or Brian and Berna Cunningham

Morning Mass –

11am Mass – with cantor Margaret Brennan and the Church Choir under the expert musical direction of Denice Doyle.

12.30 Mass – On the first Sunday of the Month this is the Family Mass with Music from the Family Mass Choir

Gospel Choir Mass   7.30pm from September to June – ‘the Mass with a difference that makes a difference’.

Liturgy is the customary public worship performed by a religious group, according to its beliefs, customs and traditions. As a religious phenomenon, liturgy is a communal response to and participation in, the sacred through activity reflecting praise, thanksgiving, supplication or repentance. (wikipedia)
